Can't be bothered to work

I have work today and I don't want to go in although it's only 3 hours long.

I'm a cleaner and I hate it.

I have two 8 hour jobs this weeks and I'm dreading them.

How can I get the motivation to go in or at least enjoy the job?

Well can you afford NOT too...if you can’t then let that be your motivation! 🤷‍♀️ And look for another job that you might prefer maybe in the mean time. Good luck OP!

I sympathise...I'm a terrible procrastinator sometimes! I motivate myself by:

a) reminding myself that in 24 hours this will all be behind me
b) having a nice playlist that I can sing along to (I have to do that when I'm doing any housework as I hate it so much)
c) thinking about what I'm going to have for tea/what's the next film or box set I'm going to watch

and, in extreme situations, pretending I'm a character in a novel....

My motivation for turning up to work even when I hated it was the need to keep a roof over my head and having money to pay all the bills. If you don't like your job look for something different.

Not having much luck with my job search either. I'm ignored or told I don't have the right experience

I’m sorry you’re hating work and having a hard time with the job search. It’s really grim when you dread going in.

I second the playlist idea; also, audiobooks. Motivational snacks, too. I am nicking the pretending to be a character in a novel idea!
