I am thinking of setting up a children's Lego /board games club because my son wants to attend one, and there's nothing available locally.

I'm in Scotland and am trying to look into the regulatory issues, insurance, first aid requirements etc. I would appreciate any info from others who have done anything similar. There are a few church halls etc locally that may be suitable. I am already DBS checked and have experience of volunteering with children so I have some idea of the size of the group I think would work well, etc. It'd be term - time only, hopefully a friendly place for children to socialise. Probably just me and one helper running it. Any tips (including "don't do it") are welcome.

Link up with your local library as the venue?
