If you have changed your storage heaters, I have questions.

I am going to be in the position to change my storage heaters for something new in a few months.
I don’t really want to put central heating in. Just want to upgrade what we have to something cheaper as they are so expensive to run.

Have you changed yours. Can u tell me the company you used and how it has helped your electric bill.
I know it’s a boring question. Sorry. Wink

I'd be interested in this too! Current heaters are about twenty years old and expensive to run, but concerned that 'new and improved ' versions of things don't always seem better in real life!

We had storage heaters for 11 years from when we moved in to our current house.

We looked at upgrading then and looked at lots of different options as there are some decent looking options out there. But in the end we got gas central heating.

It was a week of minimal upheaval, cost just under £4K and has honestly been the best thing we ever did. It's warmer but the main difference is knowing you can choose when to be warm. Instead of preparing the night before on how much heat you are going to need the following day.

I know this isn't quite what you were asking but I've been there and know how frustrating storage heaters can be! Good luck with your decision.

Not sure if it’s helpful but apparently Dimplex make most of there storage heaters so the cheaper ones are as good as the more expensive one. Found out after had the dimplex ones. Big difference between the new and old models and the timer makes a big difference
