Get your hands really cold outside then lube your finger up.

RandomWok · 22/02/2020 22:53

Have you tried the string method?

JudgeJudee · 22/02/2020 22:53

They could, or you could try this

Can guarantee the ribbon/string/ elastic tape method works. If it's overnight- can you go to A&E if it's affecting circulation?

welliesarefuntowear · 22/02/2020 22:54

We have ring cutters at the surgery where I work.

SD1978 · 22/02/2020 22:56

Sorry whole post didn't load- not an emergency then, GP surgery or the above method

Dollywilde · 22/02/2020 23:01

They should do - I had a ring stuck on my hand once and tried the string trick, butter, cold water everything. Nothing worked and it kept getting worse as my finger swelled. Nipped into the jewellers the next morning and they clipped it off for free, but I paid them to reform the metal in one size up so I could wear that ring again on that hand.

dustibooks · 22/02/2020 23:06

A jeweller is your best bet - they will also try and avoid the hallmarks if they can.

safariboot · 22/02/2020 23:09

If you're getting divorced I doubt you care much about the ring being cut off!

Yes a jeweller will have no problems doing it.

Don’t be too disappointed when they offer you about £100 for it.

Sleepycat91 · 22/02/2020 23:37

Fire brigade have ring cutters if you pop to your local station and ask nicelyx

CalleighDoodle · 22/02/2020 23:39

Engagement rings usually plummet in value.

WorraLiberty · 22/02/2020 23:41

Most jewellers won't do this anymore.

GP or walk-in centre.

ZoeandChandon · 22/02/2020 23:42
