I am visiting a friend in hospital this week who has had a very close brush with death but now seems to be turning a corner, thank goodness.
I would like to bring a book or two for him to read during his stay... something positive and uplifting that will kept to keep his spirits up, while being a reasonably easy read given he'll get tired easily.
He like biographies in particular, but something fictional would be fine too. He also loves football (Liverpool) and science/science-fiction (nothing political or too 'heavy')
Does anyone have any recommendations?
