Ever had a stomach ache with a cold? 48hr rule?

Started with a cold yesterday (general snottiness) and all of today I've also had a persistent uncomfortable stomach ache in my upper abdomen - above belly button but below sternum. Also a bit nauseous.

This is a new one to me - do you think it's part of the cold, or I've also picked up a tummy bug at the same time and need to do the 48hour rule with work?

You only need to do the 48 hour rule if you have actually been vomiting and have diarrhoea.

I thought it was if you had a tummy bug and were infectious!

I have just recovered from something almost identical. It was also a new one on me. The tummy bit took about four days to go. It never got awful but was really disconcerting. Carried on at work because I hadn’t been sick or anything. I hope you feel better soon.

One of my DC gets similar, I reckon the pain is caused by ingesting some of the snot!

Dammit, there was me hoping for a day off Grin
Thanks Mocto - sound like a weird bug doing the rounds

Yes just recovered from one. I put it down to inflamed lymph nodes in my abdomen as I had swollen glands in my neck too. I didn't vomit or have diarrhoea.
