They make me wonder if the high end sex worker look really is a current thing

Toria70 · 21/02/2020 10:32

Worst make up I've ever bought.

Her ads on TV make me want to throw a heavy object at it! Talk about all fur coat and no knickers......... I've had better quality from Primark. Her products are the ultimate of marketing over substance.

Lol “ Pillow talk Pillow talk “

“ Tv smash , Tv smash “

Have to agree sick of seeing the advert

Recently I was so excited to have bought my first Charlotte tilbury lipstick.... big disappointment, hardly any pigment. I could have spent the £28.00 on a few lipsticks from boots! Hmm

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 21/02/2020 11:00

I hardly watch normal TV so haven't seen the ad advert, but a few people in the s&b threads rave about her products. Glad I never took their advice then 😂

Sexnotgender · 21/02/2020 11:01

I’ve blocked the adverts on Facebook, they’re just awful.

Sexnotgender · 21/02/2020 11:02

If you look on the beauty products you regret thread on S&B you’ll see CT getting a lot of mentions.

Tillymintsmama · 21/02/2020 11:05

oh i'm glad I saw this; I was falling for the 'magic cream' thing.... is it not worth £50 then?

Wafflehouse · 21/02/2020 11:09

I hate those ads, but it might be because I heard her on the Table Manners podcast a while ago and thought she was the most irritating, self absorbed and completely unaware person I’ve ever heard. I’d heard/read mixed things about her products but listening to her completely put me off wanting to put any money her way.

MurrayTheMonk · 21/02/2020 11:53

The one with the semi rhyming 'poem' about magic cream drives me mental. It's just awful.

She describes Herself as a 'young'make up artist. Poetic licence indeed.

It's actually her doing the voice overs as well isn't it?

I like the colour of pillow talk (although it's not what it appears in the advert-on me anyway) but it has no staying power so not worth the £28 at all.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 21/02/2020 11:57

I bought the foundation (not worth it), the lip gloss (not worth it), whatever the eyeshadow must-have was at Christmas (haven't tried it yet).

I liked the samples of the magic cream and eye cream (might still buy that).

The full-fat mascara though is amazing for me.

I don't like the adverts though, they're my cue to put washing on, nip to the loo.

I've never posted in here before and I don't want to start a new thread when this one is already on, so excuse me if that's not the right etiquette. I just wanted to vent about the latest CT advert and how disturbing I find it. I'm at a loss as to why grown women would want to look like a shiny plastic doll, and CT herself is like a caricature.
