People in cars smoking skunk and making a party of it

When did skunk appear and what is it that makes it so smelly and addictive?

I smell it everywhere I cant go for a walk without breathing it in. The park, the bus stop, waiting for an uber with my shopping. Why is it so acceptable?

Now youngsters parking up getting the music out and sitting in their cars leaving behind empty MacDonalds bags. Ive had it up to here with it. They go on for hours and then drive off, should they even be driving?

It doesnt seem that many years ago when Ive been on holiday and people have smoked it in the evening with a glass of wine And it smelt nothing like it does now.

I know im getting old. Does anyone here actually smoke it?

Nope - it smells like rancid cats piss!

Someone walked past our car smoking it the other day and it fucking stank. Some teens were smoking it in a train toliet and the stench followed them through the train carriages - train inspector ignored them .

I smoke marijuana (not skunk) and no I don't drive under the influence.
If you see someone smoking and driving or driving after hotboxing (parked up all smoking in the car) you really should report it.
They are unlikely to start racing but they won't be for to drive.
A reg number, area and number of occupants will be helpful.

You don't need to do a citizens arrest, a phone call is enough.
They aren't likely to be reckless or violent (if they are stoned they will have all on getting out the car) but don't confront them, an anonymous report is fine.

Yes but im not getting near enough to take their registrations. Not in the dark when theres no other people around.

they all support gang violence, knife crime, cuckooing and county lines. It is a shame that drugs are not more toxic.

You don't need to be close enough to get registrations if it isn't safe but the location this occurs, times and makes / models / colours of the cars would help.

Police spent 15 minutes searching two men for cannabis outside Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (February 20).

The pair were sitting on the steps leading down from the court this morning, directly opposite two police vans parked on Marlborough Street.

Both men were smoking roll-ups and one was drinking from a Stella Artois bottle.

A woman, who did not wish to be named, suspected the roll-ups contained Class B drug cannabis and at 10.20am reported the men to the officers sitting in the vans.

Three officers proceeded to get out of their vehicles and approached the two men.

One officer said to the pair: “There is a strong smell of cannabis.”

Over the following 15 minutes, the police searched the two men.

One of the suspects could be heard shouting: “I ain’t f got anything on me.”

The other yelled at an officer: "F* off before I slap you."

The officers walked away from the two men at 10.35am, without taking any action.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: “Two people were searched but nothing was found on them.”

And one of the officers present told Bristol Live: "We couldn't find any cannabis."

The woman who had reported the men to police said: "A strong smell of cannabis being smoked outside the court was enough for me to alert the police, who happened to be nearby.

"The two gentlemen were confronted by the officers, but after a long search the police left them to get on with their days.”

Theres about 40 dogends at that the bottom of the path its just vile.
