Ok, so, my right index finger really freaking hurts, but only in area when something touches it.

I suspect there's possibly a bit of Brillo pad fibre stuff in it, maybe.

It's the only thing I can think of and has been sore since using one at work last week.

It's nearly a week now, I was sort of waiting for whatever it is to either work its self out or go gross 🤦‍♀️
But nope.

So what would you do?
I can't see anything at all, so thinking GP or pharmacist wouldn't either, minor injuries? Not sure what they could do either.

Or just keep waiting to see if it gets better by itself.

Over to you guys!

Im an A+E nurse.

The only reason we'd be interested in this is if there were signs of infection.

Its difficult to assess with no picture of your finger.

There is literally nothing to see, but touch it and I hit the ceiling.

Does it hurt when you bend it?

No, it's the finger pad bit, imagine using your finger to scrub something, there.

It's very weird.

I guess I leave it and see what happens.

is there really a cream people can put on (from chemist?) that draws splinters out?

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 18/02/2020 21:58

Yes, its called Magnesium Sulphate Paste.

InvisibleToEveryone · 18/02/2020 22:37

Ooh yes, I love the smell of that!

I'll get some tomorrow. Ta.
