Who else love Sex And The City?

Just watching it on box sets and I never get sick of it.

I absolutely loved New York when I went for a few days and this shoe reminds me of it obviously.

It’s just got such a buzz that city, I wish I could go back!

YES although Carrie annoys me..

MimiLaRue · 17/02/2020 19:37

I loved it when it was actually on TV but when I watch re-runs now I cringe at it. I dont remember the characters being so one dimensional or cliched back then. Plus, Carrie is an absolutely horrible, horrible friend.
It was also rather homophobic and racist, looking back.

Love it

Xyzzzzz · 17/02/2020 19:38

I loved it, it’s aged well by today’s standard and carrie was a horrible friend but I still loved it.

amusedbush · 17/02/2020 19:38

I rewatch it every so often and I love it in a nostalgic sense but it really hasn’t aged well. Carrie is SUCH a dick.

TFSRM · 17/02/2020 19:38

Carrie is super annoying but I love it. I love the fashion and the city.

RightSwipe · 17/02/2020 19:41

Loved it at the time but not sure it’s aged all that well. The films were dire.

I love Samantha, though. Fantastic character.

I recently watched it for the first time and loved it (but yes don't like Carrie).

I liked the first film but the second...well the less said the better.

Potkettlexx · 17/02/2020 23:05

I agree Carrie makes me cringe!

I love it. But god Carrie and your monologues give it a rest love

anon2000000000 · 17/02/2020 23:43

I rewatched the whole series and movies a couple of months ago. I absolutely loved it but didn't realise just how much of a pain in the ass Carrie is.

Franklymydearidontgiveadam · 17/02/2020 23:50

I went to new york recently. Sex and the city made it look much more glamorous

Nirvana1979 · 17/02/2020 23:51

Yes i love it. Loved Aidan and Steve the most. Oh and Smith

amusedbush · 18/02/2020 09:44

Loved Aidan and Steve the most.

The first movie ruined Steve. I don't believe for a second that he would cheat on Miranda.

Shmithecat2 · 18/02/2020 09:46

Adored it from day one. Still do. But yes, Carrie is a dick.

TFSRM · 18/02/2020 20:09

@amusedbush I agree about Steve in the first movie. I think it would have been much more interesting if Miranda had cheated and then left Steve because she would worry doing that would mean it's not true love.

Also, I think Carrie should have stayed with her Russian and not got married. Leaving and living with him in France was like her growing up.

amusedbush · 18/02/2020 20:18

@TFSRM

The Russian was childish asking Carrie to miss her party but she knew why he was in Paris, he was incredibly busy and stressed about his work and she was sooo bratty that he wasn’t showering her with attention.

Big was an arsehole to her repeatedly and I hate that she went back to him. And then went back to him AGAIN in the first movie Angry she’s a glutton for punishment.

redexpat · 18/02/2020 20:26

I still love it, although Carrie is annoying. I just love the friendship between the women, and I really like Miranda.

Spied · 18/02/2020 20:29

Loved it at it's time.
Felt so cosmopolitan and grown-up watching it.
It's dated badly though and can't watch it today.
