Evening primrose oil/Heavy period

Hi
I thought I might get more traffic posting here.

Does taking Evening primrose oil help to lessen heavy periods?
I'm sure I read somewhere that it can help but just wanted to know what others do and take supplement wise to ease it down a bit.
I should probably look into iron supplements also as at the moment I don't have the best diet.

Thanks Smile

Ive been taking starflower oil (higher concentration of the oils) and it hasn’t made a hot of difference to my very heavy bleeding.

I've used Evening Primrose/Starflower oils and they pretty much stop breast pain and ease my mood but period heaviness is the same. My skin and hair and nails have definitely improved with it. You need quite a lot, at least 1000mg per day and I take more after ovulation.

I've been taking Angus Castus for a few weeks now in a hope it will ease Peri symptoms but apparently it takes about 3 months to see any improvement.

Sorry Peri symptoms meaning heavy periods and flooding so even if you're not in Peri it could help.

I take it. It hasn't made a difference to how heavy my period is but has stopped the bloating, cramps, awful mood, and other delightful symptoms. I take 1000mg per day all the time.
