Haven Holiday parks! Which is best?

Looking to find peoples opinions on the best Haven Holiday park!

Want one with a nice pool, nice place to eat, things to do for young children in the local area and a beach short drive!

We usually go to Lakeland but its getting a bit boring now as not much to do without driving quite far 🤷🏻‍♀️

Would you consider butlins? Far more to do than haven, and the children will have so much to do. Haven Kiln park in tenby is pretty nice has an outdoor splash area and proper outside pool and inside.

I've been eyeing up the Norfolk sites as one of them, Hopton, has been voted their best site in the U.K.
All of them have beach access, good pools and recent renovations - I just can't pick out of the 4 of them!

Haggerston Castle is a nice one.

I loved Perranporth, Cornwall. Beach adjacent to park but walk to it can be a little difficult. Not far to drive though and Perranporth itself has lovey cafes and restaurants etc.

Hopton on sea haven is lovely. On the beach, good facilities, plenty of things to do nearby. Gt yarmouth is just up the road with arcades, model village, sea life centre etc. Theres also Africa alive, bewilderwood and pleasurewood hills not far away.

heidbuttsupper · 15/02/2020 17:13

Another vote for Haggerston Castle

Figgygal · 15/02/2020 17:13

Rockley park in Dorset is nice not sure I’d want to go In school holidays though

I’m looking at the Weymouth ones and Weymouth bay also looks nice

Where are you?

Craig tara in Ayrshire is the best I've been to and I've been to a good few.

It has loads for kids. Is right next to a beach and farm. Has a fairground and an excellent pool.

mintich · 15/02/2020 17:20

Rockley park and hopton

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 15/02/2020 17:23

It's a while since we've been but Greenacres on Portmadog is lovely and in a stunning part of the world, it's right on the beach and if you get a good week there's nowhere finer.

CupcakeEater · 15/02/2020 17:47

Seconding Weymouth bay, close to the beach and loads to do in the surrounding area...Littlesea site was nice but there wasn't much nearby.
I also like Rockley Park.

We are going to Craig Tara in August ,have been to Golden sands in Mablethorpe ,and Thorpe park in Cleethorpes both ok also be ent I Lakeland a couple of years ago an it is,a bit dull.

ImportantWater · 15/02/2020 18:24

Hopton is great - the beach is right there next to the park, and there’s loads to do in the surrounding area.

LER83 · 15/02/2020 18:57

We really liked hafen y mor. Granted we didn't actually use any of the facilities onsite, but the surrounding area was stunning.

FleabagTeabag · 15/02/2020 19:00

Haggerston Castle is great.

Inkythemouse · 15/02/2020 19:06

We've been to Thorpe Park in cleethorpes a few times. The beach there is beautiful. There's quite a few things to do outside the park

H1978 · 15/02/2020 21:03

Hafan y mor Wales

mcmooberry · 15/02/2020 21:42

We have been twice to Church Farm in Sussex, lots to do on site and in area and walking distance to a (shingle) beach. Lots of other beaches a short drive away.

BettaSplenden · 15/02/2020 21:45

Thornwick bay is really nice x

Careradvice2019 · 15/02/2020 21:45

Haggerston castle ,..or what about Potters.. Hopton on sea ..?

QuestionableMouse · 15/02/2020 21:48

I thought Blue Dolphin was a little run down.

Been to Seton Sands three times and enjoyed it. The park is quite quiet but there's quite a bit to do around it as long as you don't mind driving (or getting the bus). East Links Farm is fabulous.

kierenthecommunity · 15/02/2020 21:51

Seton Sands, Craig Tara, Primrose Valley and Presthaven are all good.

Gertie75 · 15/02/2020 21:57

My favourite is Perran Sands, set amongst the sand dunes overlooking one of the best beaches in the country.
You can walk to the beach however it's very steep but you can drive down and park in less than 5 minutes.

baubled · 15/02/2020 21:58

Primrose Valley

incywincyspiders · 15/02/2020 21:59
