I'm not a fan of Billie Eilish (don't think I'm her target market') but I quite like this. Fits in the Bond themes collection well.

Doubt it will be a classic though.

Well to be fair, most Bond themes contain a lot of utter tripe - nonsense lyrics but if the music and voice is good we can overlook that can't we?

I think it sounds like a previous Bond song. Trying to think which one. 🤔

Have to say I was a touch underwhelmed.

Really, if they chose Billie Eilish they should have pushed for something that was ultra-her, whereas what I heard is a sort of blandified, more accessible, easy-listening version of her sound.

Also depressingly derivative, with infantile lyrics and rhyming.

I wanted to like it. Don’t care much about Bond but find the Eilish phenomenon quite intriguing.

I like it - it sounds like her and it sounds like a Bond song. All boxes ticked for me.

Agree that most Bond themes are tosh (although still enjoyable in a pop kind of way. View to a Kill is excellent. As is License to Kill) but actually I really like this one. Her style is definitely growing on me. Can't be any worse that Sam 'nails down a blackboard' Smith's attempt.

Really looking forward to the new film especially to see the influence from so many female writers. Although in the trailers it's so clear the age difference between Daniel Craig and the french actress that plays his love interest. A bit ick actually

I'm a big fan of Billie's so I like the song, but agree with PP it doesn't follow her usual style very well. Would have preferred it to build up to something a bit more.

No. DD 12 and I agree. Billie Eilish is not right for a James Bond theme.

I think she and her brother were an inspired choice - wholly representative of 2020 mainstream music - it’s just that the result is far too watered down. It should have been fiercer.

It's the first one of hers I have zero emotional reaction to. Also agree opening sounds v like Skyfall. Disappointed as I really like her stuff

Also, I've just been on a little Bond theme marathon, I have to vote for Adele for "modern Bond" and then Bassey for iconic Bond.

Bland. I don't know what's happened to the Bond songs over the years when you think of how great they used to be:
Goldfinger, Shirley Bassey
Nobody Does it Better, Carly Simon
Living Daylights, A-Ha
Live and Let Die, We have all the Time in the World etc etc.

Great songs.

Now they just seem very samey or unutterably awful- worst are Garbage/Sam Smith/Alicia Keyes.

It's a no from me. I can see all the swirly arty naked silhouette ladies in the opening credits already.

Waiting for it to build up to some big crescendo but no, its just dull. Best bit was the end. Its a no from me too.

Dull AF

Just listening to it for the 3rd time - and it's slowly (haha!) growing on me. I think it's got a bit too much classic Bond tune and a little too little Eilish in it to be anything special. There are a few moments/lyrics that stand out, but overall, it's not remarkable.

It doesn't really hit a climax does it? I thought Bond songs were always dramatic

I like her voice it's a bit like Lanka Del Ray to me but I find it hard to understand the lyrics.
