Flying London to west coast. There’s a flat bed, no pyjamas provided I think....Aer Lingus.

Can I change on the plane? I was thinking joggers and a sweatshirt...

Of course you can, but you can also just fly in those joggers and swetshirt, and change when you land (if you wish).

You can although changing in a plane toilet is not that easy. Just fly in your comfy clothes. None will care.

HeronLanyon · 13/02/2020 09:19

Yes ! If I have a bed of any sort I don’t change I fly in semi smart joggers plus layers one of which is in effect a sleep t shirt. I tend them to take that t shirt off when changing back into (Slightly) smarter top layers.
Heck I’ve known people to get in flight of that length get straight to bed (in bed clothes already) sleep/rest through the whole thing and only emerge for quick breakfast before landing etc.

My husband always does. The crew will hang up suits and jackets for you.
I don’t like wasting time or changing in the lavatory so go in clothing I can adapt. I wear layers which includes lightweight leggings and a base layer T-shirt. Then I just pop a tunic over the top when I wake. If I’m going somewhere hot, I might take the t shirt off just before arriving and use just the tunic. We both use a pair of hotel slippers to wander around.

I usually wear something comfy to travel in anyway. It can be awkward to change in the toilet on the plane but it can be done.

Or you could change in the toilets in the business class lounge before boarding. I often do that and take make up off then too.

I was just in lounge pants and a long sleeved top to fly in and sleep in. When you land you should be allowed to use the business class lounge to freshen up.

We flew Are Lingus Dublin to East coast of US. Dublin airport has a teeny business lounge where you pick up your bags, or if you are on a connecting flight you use the main lounge in the terminal.

Giroscoper · 13/02/2020 15:26

That was meant to say there are two business class lounges, one for landing passengers and one for connecting. There should be the same at London if you wanted to change or freshen up post flight.

I just wear comfy clothes… I have only flown business class with emirates, so had shorter flights and a long layover in Dubai usually… Because I have a disability, and I get very overtired, if I have an 11 hour plus layover in Dubai I will stay at a hotel, sleep, take a shower and then change.

Belindabelle · 13/02/2020 15:52

I normally change into my comfortable clothes in the lounge prior to boarding. Much more room to get changed.

agreed, just wear comfy clothes and layers. You can always remove your bra in the toilet (assuming you are female)
