Where do you fantasise about running away to?

Can’t sleep. Got lots going on in my life at the moment. Got lots on my mind. The urge to runaway from everything is very strong but I won’t- I can only dream. So fuel my dreams where would you go to escape people and problems... unlimited budget of course Wink

Somewhere warm....

Ricketyswimmer · 11/02/2020 23:35

A wild remote Scottish island

VenusClapTrap · 11/02/2020 23:36

Norway. Fjords, mountains, fresh air and northern lights.

TheThingWithFeathers · 11/02/2020 23:37

Bali. Eat Pray Love has got a lot to answer for!

scrappydappydoo · 11/02/2020 23:40

I like the idea of a Scottish island but without the wind and rain and a bit warmer...
Norway - oh I could accidentally snowed in and not be able to leave for 6 months..
Not sure about Bali - too hot

A 1 bedroom chalet in the woods near my beautiful home place.

I may have thought about this too much

Fatasfooook · 11/02/2020 23:46

A beach hut in Mexico

JingsMahBucket · 11/02/2020 23:50

France. I love different parts of it and want to eventually retire there. The food and pace of life just suit me well. SIGH.

scrappydappydoo · 11/02/2020 23:52

A chalet in the woods by a lake in the middle of nowhere....
or yes a beach hut with a hammock somewhere very warm but not boiling...

York.

My dad has an ecstatic caravan on a Scottish island but the shopping potential is shite.

Graymare · 11/02/2020 23:55

Outback Australia (maybe not in recent months) or Rocky mountains. Somewhere you can feel right on the edge of civilisation.

whitesoxx · 11/02/2020 23:57

Morris I love that your Dad's caravan is ecstatic 😂

SisterAgathaVanHelsing · 11/02/2020 23:59

The Normandy coast.

OhamIreally · 12/02/2020 00:01

Cartagena de Indias

RainbowMum11 · 12/02/2020 00:04

I think I would like at least 2 - France, near the Loire valley and the other Scotland/Hebrides - as long as I have a good supply of reading material, food & drink, I would be fine!!!

FairyJuice · 12/02/2020 00:09

I'd love to say something exotic like a tropical desert island but the truth is, most days I just want to run away and hide in the back of my wardrobe for a few minutes peace from the kids Blush

Bobbi73 · 12/02/2020 00:15

A beach hut in Thailand that I stayed in 20 years ago. On a remote beach.
The beach is no longer remote and the Hut is definitely gone so I might need a time travelling machine too.
Otherwise, somewhere warm and sunny that I could lie in my hammock with a book and no-one would talk to me.

AndWhatNext · 12/02/2020 00:16

In a field near a stream, framed by mountains.

Costacoffeeplease · 12/02/2020 00:19

We did run away to our dream place, and we’re still hereSmile

Daftness · 12/02/2020 00:21

Anywhere..

zeddybrek · 12/02/2020 00:23

Zanzibar.

Tillygetsit · 12/02/2020 01:38

Dh and I went through a really hellish experience a few years ago and made up a place with a large flat rock for us to lie on in gentle sunshine on a beach with lapping waves. I still visit it often in my mind.

Flibbertyjibbit · 12/02/2020 02:06

A little cottage with an open fire, maybe in the Cotswolds or Cornwall. Fridge and cupboards fully stocked. Would take the dog with me too!

UYScuti · 12/02/2020 02:11

I want an ecstatic caravan😊
