Can I use lime juice instead of lemon juice?

I saw in a recipe that they suggested using a squeeze of lemon juice in the milk to make it slightly soured like buttermilk

I don’t have lemons - can I use lime instead?

Thanks all for the advise . I didn’t have vinegar so used a drop of lime.
