Storm Clara - would you travel on Sunday?

I don't know if I'm being irrational and over cautious or not. We have to go to a family party tomorrow around 2.5 hours from home. We're staying overnight and travelling back on Sunday. We're in the SW, and travelling within the SW. DH thinks I'm being ridiculous, but I'm feeling really worried about the journey home. Am I being silly or not?

My flight has been cancelled. Bollocks.

Flights are being cancelled... my ds1 went to Amsterdam for the weekend and are stuck there another night as Easyjet have cancelled. He doesn't sound overly sad about it however...!

I drove today. V windy but if you adhere to speed restrictions and allow plenty of time it should be fine. Tune the radio so you can have traffic alerts.

Strugglingtodomybest · 09/02/2020 09:20

Yes I would.

Tiredemma · 09/02/2020 09:21

Tree has just fell near mine. I'm not going anywhere

Flew into Heathrow at 6am and I nearly vommed but otherwise it was fine! Bit blustery driving home and now we have to keep a jetlagged 2yo awake all day without leaving the house.

Flew from Gatwick this morning, Weather on the way there was awful and take off was not fun! But flight was on time and we got to the other end fine
