Most evenings at this time I can hear a pair of owls in the trees just outside my bedroom
window. Tonight I can only hear one.
I don't know much about Owls, do they mate for life? Is this one making a racket because he's waiting for his mate? I can hear the lower pitched call, I presume that's the male?
