Just Googled my name to look for something for work and found a bunch of websites with 'ladybee's e-mail address and phone number here'. One has my old house address on it. My photo is even on some of them –and not the one from my LinkedIn profile or facebook page...
They're the sites where you sign up for a monthly fee and can then access their database's contact details.
I'm not thrilled about having my details on there, although I have had my email address since the early 2000s and so it's hardly surprising it's got out for public consumption one way or another by now.
There's a button to say 'do not sell my data', but when you go to it they ask for your contact details to send a confirmation email and make sure it's you... which feels like it could be a phishing scam...
Anyone got any ideas on how I can tackle this?
Or at least lock down my privacy better going forward?
