Autistic DS wants to play Minecraft on a server. What does this mean and how do I keep him safe online?

My teenage DS has no friends at all in RL and is completely isolated socially. He has asked me if he could play Minecraft using one of the servers but I’m completely ignorant of what this means and how I can ensure he is safe online. Any tips would be most welcome. Thanks.

www.minecraft.net/en-us/servers/ I had a quick read of this. He wants to be able to 'socialise' online. Its always risky giving a child access to online gaming to be honest, but you will have access to parental controls. You need to be able to use them though. Have a read through their fAqs.

I recently read something about an autism/minecraft community that enable communication (I absolutely don't understand it all but might be worth a read into). It's called Autcraft
