What is your job? What's your job history?

I love to hear what people do for work.

My husband and I own an dog boarding kennels with cattery and small animal hotel.

I left school with no GCSE's and ended up in a dead end retail job for 5 years. Then met DH 12 years ago. His parents owned the kennels but on a small scale (8 dogs at a time, no cats). I got a job there and then 8 years ago DH's parents retired and we bought the kennels from them and we've expanded to 40 dogs and 25 cats plus rabbits and guinea pigs.

My DH wants to run a kennel when he leaves the army. I am not so keen!

I work part time as a library assistant and I really enjoy the work and get to meet lots of lovely people. Most of my previous experience is either retail or admin so the library is a dream!

I currently do an admin role in my husbands business. Until December I was a secondary school teacher for 16 years. Prior to that I worked in recruitment and hr in admin roles.

I went to uni straight after 6th form to do a geography degree and returned to uni a few years later to do my teaching qualification.

I am woefully under experienced for what I do now and over qualified in a not at all helpful way!

I've been a radio host, travel writer, magazine section editor, project manager, outsourcing manager and now business development and operations manager. It's quite depressing I'm on MW but life's hard where we live.
