DMs got an itchy scalp that’s driving her nuts

Can anyone recommend any shampoo or product that helps an itchy scalp. My mums been complaining all week that her scalp is itching so much it’s really getting her down. She hasn’t changed anything what so ever. Just come out of nowhere and she doesn’t usually get eczema or anything like that. Think she is going to make a dr apt but can anyone recommend a shampoo that might calm the itch down?

Balneum or E45 shampoo - although you do need to use it a couple of times before feeling the benefit

Yep checked for nits. This was my first thought too cos she is a teacher! But definitely not. She had had her hair coloured last Saturday. But the hairdresser said it’s the same stuff she’s used for the last few years so can’t be that either. She’s bought t-gel. If that doesn’t work will try another suggestion thanks all!
