How TF do you know what mattress to buy?

There's too many options. Memory foam vs pocket sprung is just the beginning but i'm stuck there. H.E.L.P.

I hate memory foam - it's hot and sweaty. Pocket sprung every time. Not a no-turn mattress either - they don't last as well as one you turn. Medium-firm because firm or medium give me backache (for different reasons). I thoroughly recommend the Silentnight Eco Choices range.

Don't get memory foam, we made a very expensive mistake buying a tempur memory foam style mattress. I sweated through each night and had to drink multiple glasses of water, then leading to more loo breaks. (Note, I'm not menopausal yet either!)

Look at pocket sprung and buy as best as you can afford. John Ryan is a good website to look at, they're online only but the do a love it or return it guarantee.

I also hate memory foam. I think it’s just a fad that will pass. I’m a pocket sprung only girl. You need at least 1,000 springs (more if you’re heavy) and just go and try loads. We have two medium pocket sprung mattresses but they are vastly different in how they feel

Ah, that's helpful thank you! DH is always too warm so it makes sense that we wouldn't want memory foam. That narrows it down.
