Hotels within ~20 mins of Newhaven with a secure car park?

We (two adults and two small children) need to overnight this year for a 9am Newhaven sailing and will have a small trailer. The trailer is as secure as you can make them but DH is a bit twitchy nonetheless so we want somewhere at least with a secure car park. Otherwise it’s just crash space and the cheaper the better.

Any recommendations?

There aren't any, I used to live down the road in Seaford. Newhaven and Peacehaven are crime ridden shitholes so don't stay there or you will never see your trailer again. Stay in Seaford. There will be some sensible hotels there and your stuff won't get nicked.

Yikes. Duly noted, thanks. I’ll take a look at Seaford places.

Pretty much everywhere with a car park disavows any responsibility. If there's crime and it turns out the CCTV was broken and there was a huge hole in the fence, the hotel will owe you nothing.

Well, yes, we know they’d never be liable. But there’s a difference between a car park with barriers in a decent area and an unlit free-for-all in a duff neighbourhood.

We stayed in a gorgeous air bnb in seaford, maybe try that and see if they can offer parking

Thanks - will definitely look up those options as well 👍
