You have two kid free hours per week, what do you do?

I find my two kid free hours per week go so fast! I wanted to
Work out
Clean kitchen
Bake a cake for colleague without little dirty hands getting involved
Change bedding

Instead I
Went on phone
Ate chocolate
Changed bedding
Put work out clothes on
Watched Beyoncé perform Crazy in Love live

When my youngest daughter was at nursery and I had 2.5 hours free on a Friday . I used to do a quick clean of house then half hour chill with cup of tea . Now they are both at school I have 6 hours so I go to gym class , shower , clean house and hopefully have some tome to drink coffee and watch some trash .

I had 3 hours today. I made dinner, dug out the dead plants at the front of the house and planted some crocuses, tidied the kitchen, hung the washing, emptied the dishwasher, and did some ironing while I watched tv. Oh and I had a coffee and ate a creme egg.

In theory I try to be productive and get on with jobs around the house but in reality I often sit on the sofa with a nice hot coffee and browse on my phone then before I know it times up...

I would sleep!

I clearly need bigger ambitions but I would honestly kill for 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

The plan is to blitz the house quickly, sort out that shelving unit full of crap. The reality is I wash up and then sit with a cup of tea and WhatsApp my friends

Walk the dog
Piano practice
Housework
Read with feet up on sofa
Go for a run
Meet friends for coffee
Browse round the shops

I would swim in the big pool for a change!

I go to the pub alone for a pint and a packet of crisps and read a book.

Two hours goes really quickly. I'm a sahm and both my DC are at school. I have six hours a day...I thought I'd be a gym bunny with a killer bod and an immaculate house. I'm still quite fat and the house is passable but far from immaculate

@swimmingpoolshower no 😂 different things I would do in 2 hours. I would choose one of those activities.

If I had just 2 hours I would do something just for me - sleep/ read book/ nice cafe/ run/ craft/ tv - whatever floats your boat. And I would feel no guilt about it whatsoever!
