What was this chocolate bar?

I’ve just remembered a chocolate bar from probably around 25 years ago but can’t remember what it was called. It was very thin strands of chocolate, only a millimetre or two wide, and they were wrapped/woven round each other. Inside there was a runny filling of some sort, can’t remember what flavour but I think it was kind of like a mousse. I can’t remember if it was bar shaped or possibly round, hence the filling.

Please help as it’s driving me mad!

Spira was the best

Crockof · 29/01/2020 22:48

Never hear love for Fuse bars. They were around 97 and gorgeous. Also loved drinking hot chocolate through a Spira. Cadbury choc is crap now so if they bring back the spria it will taste wanky.

Perverted · 29/01/2020 22:51

I'm still mourning the Cabana

ineedto · 29/01/2020 22:52

@Crockof don't blow a fuse, eat one!!!

TanselleTooTall · 29/01/2020 22:56

Oh my days, that is ine hell of a trip down memory lane! I had zero idea what you were on about OP, but then I saw the advert and whoosh! it's come flooding back (my stomach started rumbling!)

Sadly, you just KNOW Crap-bury will murder Secret in a relaunch. Best left a fond, delicious memory. Sad

IHeartKingThistle · 29/01/2020 23:03

I knew it was going to be Secret before I even opened the thread Grin

Dancer12345 · 29/01/2020 23:21

Apparently it’s Rowntree’s, not Cadbury’s.

I loved Spira too - why do they get rid of all the good ones?

marchez I remember them! They were quite nice for a low calorie chocolate bar, I have racked my brains and searched online but can’t find them either, and yes there were 2 in a packet.

TheSheepofWallSt · 30/01/2020 01:18

I think if Fuse bars often @Crockof
Nobody else gives a shit about them sadly

mrbob · 30/01/2020 01:29

I loved secrets! I think about them a stupid amount

Houseworkavoider · 30/01/2020 01:33

I came on here to say secret.
I loved them!

Gingerkittykat · 30/01/2020 02:58

Wow that advert is dire!

I remember secret bars now and would be good to see them back.

Orangecatfish · 30/01/2020 03:27

I don’t think I ever had one.

Downunderduchess · 30/01/2020 07:15

I just watched the ad, it looked quite similar to a Kinder Bueno, which is really delicious. I’m in Australia so not sure if you have them.

ChangeInTime · 30/01/2020 07:36

We have Kinder Buenos here. I want one now but Secret bars were very different. They had no wafer and didn't contain hazelnuts, and the filling had a completely different texture. They were filled with a sort of marshmallowey mousse.

ChangeInTime · 30/01/2020 07:37

I'm going to have to go out and get a Kinder Bruno or two now.
