I've found a Peacock butterfly in my loft space this evening. It's very dark and cold here but even tomorrow, I'm not sure they are meant to be out and about until at least around March? Will it die? I've given it some syrupy water and scored fruit. Maybe it stayed in hibernation a bit too long don't blame it ?
Or emerged too early? But It's very large so I'm not sure.
