Who is he living with op?
How long has he been gone?
Will he talk to you if you arrange to meet him?

HappyHammy · 28/01/2020 15:18

Do you mean he has gone out and is sitting in the library and you want him to come home but he has an argument with his dad. How long has he been out. What time is it where you live. Did he sleep at home last night.

HollowTalk · 28/01/2020 15:19

How long is it since he was at home?

Mlou32 · 28/01/2020 15:25

I think we need the full story if we are to give you advice.

However based on what you're saying....if he wants to act the big I am then let him. He'll soon come back when he needs something. Pandering to his tantrum is just encouraging him.

Wolfiefan · 28/01/2020 15:30

I don’t understand. Why won’t he go to work? Who’s texting you?

Charles11 · 28/01/2020 15:43

What was the falling out over?

Cindershasoddshoes · 28/01/2020 16:32

Sorry
He has been texting me
No he did not sleep at home last night

Wolfiefan · 28/01/2020 17:09

Not enough info OP.

Grandadwasthatyou · 28/01/2020 17:11

Why are you drip feeding? Just tell the full story.

Cindershasoddshoes · 28/01/2020 17:14

He is sixteen he is doing an apprenticeship
Which he does not go to
He has had previous mh problems including a three month stay in hospital
After this he still did not manage to attend school
And left with no formal qualification
He started the apprenticeship last September and had managed to
Cope with everything he. Has been on meds and has stopped taking them
At over six foot I can not drag him out of the door as when he was a toddler

Where did he stay last night?
Why dont you go and meet him and talk to him?

1happyhippie · 28/01/2020 17:23

If he’s on medication and stopped taking it and your concerned for his health, report him missing.

Sounds like he’s been through a lot with his hospital stay. How long ago was that?
When was he last home?
When did you last see him? Not speak to him or text but see him?
Do you actually know where he is? Who he is staying with?

ilovejeffgoldblum · 28/01/2020 17:40

No advice cindas, but wanted to drop by with Thanks

yogo · 28/01/2020 18:01

I think you need to go and find him

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 28/01/2020 18:01

Is there any way you could get DH talking to him and encouraging him to come home? Even if your DS is being completely unreasonable DH might need to be the bigger person just to get him back home. Then you can start talking about how you support him into independence.

He sounds like he has found safe places to spend his time so using a bit of sense.

TheMustressMhor · 28/01/2020 18:06

How do you know where he is, Cinders? Do you think he is in a safe place at the moment?

You must be so worried.
