Storing raw meat and veg together for slow cooker

Just wanted to check if anyone else has done this. I saw a recipe online where you prep your raw meat and raw veg and store it all together in a container, freeze or refrigerate, to then cook in a slow cooker altogether. I prepped chicken and veg and have had it stored in one container in the fridge since Saturday and was going to pop it in the slow cooker tomorrow morning(Tuesday). Now I'm wondering how reliable that online advice really is and if it's safe. Has anyone else done something similar?

It'll be absolutely fine if it's brought up to a bubbling temperature. I'd start it on high, then when you're going out put it on low, then when you get in, give it another blast on high.

Why would it not be ok ? You can buy veg and chicken in one packet from the shop.

As long as it’s all being cooked, it will be fine.

Why would it be any different to storing them in different containers and then adding them into the slow cooker together?
