800 words to go, please kick me up the arse before I give up.

Doing a very complicated essay for my degree at the moment, it's due on Wednesday Sad

Right now I feel as though my brain has melted. I know what I want to say and have my information ready, but I cannot articulate it onto the page - I am ready to concede.

Please give me a kick up the arse to motivate me. I have my notes, I have my plan and everything - I just cannot get pen to paper.

Any tips on essay writing, how to break it down or anything along those lines would be great.
Hoping to get a wiggle on once DDs in bed but also starting to think I'm too old and should just give up now.
Help.

Just put words down and fix them later. Doesn’t matter if they are crap to begin with. Good luck!

Add to your plan- expand on it in more detail then you can use that as part of your easy making the words less crap later.

Just write! 800 words is nothing you can so do this then edit it later into a good essay.

I genuinely write essays better, in terms of being able to get info on the page, when I have a couple of glasses of wine (and I don’t drink much at all!! But it does help!)

PickleMyPepper · 27/01/2020 19:09

Ah this is what I needed, thank you.

My plan is already 3 pages long (so complicated) and I feel like I'm all worded out.
I'm doing everything possible to procrastinate, then getting angry at myself for doing so Angry

Okay, once DD is in bed I'm going to write a couple of paragraphs of nonsense and hope to turn that into an acceptable piece of work.. (emphasis on the hope)

@SkeletonSkins I like your style.

Honestly it works and I’m the most sensible, hard worker but sometimes I hit a wall and some wine helps. Then I go back to it with sober eyes and edit it the next day but at least I’ve got something down.
