Can I use a vacuum bag in a suitcase?

Visiting a friend and she’s asked me to bring a few bits over that she left behind. Absolutely no problem but I was only planning on taking hand luggage and is won’t all fit by a tiny amount. And I’m loath to pay £30 for a checked bag when I won’t need it on the way back.

Can I use one of those vacuum bags for the way there for my stuff or will security not allow it?

Of course you can, but if security do want to look in it, then you will have to stand there and suck all the air out!

Just make sure that you don't include any liquids or electrical items in the vacuum bag.

Hmmm, not sure I fancy standing at security sucking air out of a bag Grin

Thank you

You can get vacuum bags which you roll the air out of. No vacuum cleaner needed
