Please tell me you have had the Post Offuce actually find things they’ve lost???

After a weekend of hell (dcat has to be pts so still pretty raw), my ddad having his 1:1 funding review and still being no wiser as they want to talk to yet more people (in a nursing home) I discovered last night that dd’s passport is still in Leeds and waiting to be sent to Belfast (why Belfast God knows......) when it was on next day delivery a week ago...... After 20 mins on hold I finally got to speak to someone who has put an investigation and complaint in.
Please tell me they do actually find stuff???

Officially declared lost .

Bloody marvellous

No experience of Royal Mail but Hermes lost a parcel of ours, officially declared it lost after three weeks. I put in a compensation claim against the insurance which they said would take 28 days to process, and they found the parcel on the 27th day (in a very poor state). I'm sure they only found it out of sheer determination not to pay out any money.

Oh well at least it can be reissued
