Sandwich thins; what do you put in yours?

I'm not really a big bread eater so thought I'd try these as an alternative for my breaks between jobs at work (kitchen then dinner lady in the same school).

Does tuna make them go soggy? What about tomatoes?

Any suggestions that are particularly tasty?

I have tuna or cheese and ham or chicken mayo. They don't seem to go soggy.

Cheese and beetroot, cheese and chutney, ham and cheese , the list is endless, just drain the beetroot first. They are great for a snack.

Anything you'd put in a sandwich. I like cheese, pickle & salad. Or I have them toasted with peanut butter for breakfast. If you're toasting them, only put them in for a minute otherwise they end up like crackers!

Cottage cheese put on them as and when you need (assuming you have a work fridge).

Ah good, thank you.

I wasn't sure if they'd end up a soggy mess by the time I leave the kitchen to make a coffee & eat.

It'll feel weird making myself a pack-up to take to work but I think I'll be hungry by 11am!

Ham and cheese and I microwave it so the cheese melts. It’s yummy.

I take a pack of philly and smoked salmon and just make up a couple as I eat them.

lucysmam · 26/01/2020 17:05

@MrsCasares that sounds good! & I will have access to a microwave.

Just don't put cucumber or tomato in them, both of those make things go soggy

I have Philadelphia Light and grapes - or Hummus and tomato
