Looking to have a small birthday gathering for my daughter, 4 friends all girls, needs to be easy to organise and fairly low cost. Welcome ideas for easy but fun activities and simple food. Thanks!

Depends on age!

Maybe a pamper night? Film, pizza, facemasks and nails painted etc

Or a baking party. You provide the ingredients and support them to bake something lovely to take home.

Arts and crafts. Loads of stuff in the works for a pound and they do that or theres little boxes and things they can paint that you can buy from there.

Decorate your own party bag - use plain paper bags and have heaps of stickers and colouring pencils. A good first event. Then you can add sweets to the bags while they eat

Party games such as musical statues, sleeping lions, pass the parcel and pin the tail on the donkey.

Decorate your own cupcake. Just need heaps of sweets and sprinkles that they can pile on
To eat serve fruit such as watermelon strawberries and grapes, crisps and ham sandwiches. Followed by the cupcake they decorated.

Hobbycraft sell papier mache animals that they could paint ( and take home so no plastic tat party bag!) and they could make a pizza to eat for their food. My dd has done this a couple of times and it’s gone down well. Think her best party though was when they had four cupcakes and lots of fondant and were taught how to decorate them as moshi monsters.
