If you have a child suffering with anxiety...

Could I please recommend a book called The Colour Monster? Or even just the premise of it?
DS struggles with anxiety, and finds it hard to explain exactly how he is feeling. This book gives feelings colours (red - angry, happy-yellow etc)
We read it at the start of the week together, and come up with colours for feelings the book doesn't cover.
Since then, I've gotten more out of him this week than in the last few months. Just in case anyone else is going through it, thought I'd share.

Thank you OP. I've not read that one, but I really like My Huge Bag of Worries book. A member of school staff read it with my daughter when she was struggling with anxiety, which really helped her.

Thanks - we’ve had so many don’t worry books that haven’t helped but haven’t tried these ones.

I'll have a look at that one @ACupOfCoffee
@Crispaficionado hope it helps. To be honest, I'm not sure you'll need the book, maybe just use the idea? DS is 7, and it was probably only just right for his age, as I think it's aimed at younger children
