Layla by Derek and The Dominoes. A cliche, overplayed to death.

Freebird by Lynrd Skynyrd. Way too long.

Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf. I don't get the appeal.

Mustang Sally so so boring especially when done live and the band use it as an excuse to go on and on and on and on

StealthPolarBear · 25/01/2020 14:06

Ha White flag. Am I the only one who heard "I'm in love... Dollway Swilby"
No idea who he is :)

TooMuch87 · 25/01/2020 14:07

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
Rehab by Amy Winehouse
Thriller by Michael Jackson

StealthPolarBear · 25/01/2020 14:08

But I came on to say queen in general, bohemian rhapsody in particular. I loved them at the time but am just so sick of hearing them now. However I heard innuendo for the first time in decades the other day and it was brilliant so it is just over exposure.

Cordylina · 25/01/2020 14:16

I saw the title and thought this would be tricky but you nailed it OP Shock. I completely agree with your choices.

I would add Don’t Fear the Reaper.

Gotthetshirt23 · 25/01/2020 14:16

I love most of the ones mentioned so far Confused
Mine is Poison - Alice Cooper

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 25/01/2020 14:20

“I'm in love... Dollway Swilby”

Have no idea who he is Grin

Pity him for having such a droany moany song written for him

isabellerossignol · 25/01/2020 14:25

November Rain is one of the dullest songs ever to make it to a recording studio. Hate it. And it's weird because Welcome to the Jungle would make the hairs on your arms stand up. How those can be the same band, within just a couple of years, is baffling.

Leave Comfortably Numb alone though, love that!

Cordylina · 25/01/2020 14:29

I think the video made November Rain - her with the wedding cake disaster and the funeral. Without that it is a bit meh.

user764329056 · 25/01/2020 14:31

Anything by Tina Turner
Love Shack, B52s
All Queen ‘rock anthems’

WarmSausageTea · 25/01/2020 14:32

Purple Rain - Prince... just goes on and on and on.
Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band... ‘black panties with an angel’s face’ Envy
If You Leave Me Now - Chicago... just so wet.

TheDarkestChild · 25/01/2020 14:35

Imagine by John Lennon.
So whiny, drippy and ultimately makes me feel depressed, which I’m sure wasn’t the desired effect.

Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.
I find it intensely irritating.

Perfect Day by Lou Reed.
It makes me physically cringe.

isabellerossignol · 25/01/2020 14:37

My most hated classic song is Imagine by John Lennon.

Utter dirge, sung by a hypocritical self important arsehole.

isabellerossignol · 25/01/2020 14:38

Oops, cross posted because I took ages trying to think of all the names I'd like to call John Lennon!

BloggersNetwork · 25/01/2020 14:45

Everything mentioned here plus Nothing's gonna stop us now by Starship

WildRosie · 25/01/2020 14:49

Thankyou Cordylina. It didn't take me long to think of those three!

OP posts:
AgeLikeWine · 25/01/2020 14:51

My heart will go on - Céline Dion
I will always love you -Whitney Houston
Crazy crazy nights - Kiss

All get me reaching for the off button.

BGD2012 · 25/01/2020 16:37

Oh yes Imagine too. I love ABBA but I've heard Dancing Queen and Mama Mia too much over the last few years.

ItsGoingTibiaK · 25/01/2020 16:40

Smoke on the Water
Whiskey in the Jar

Both just dull and give me a empty feeling inside.

Samcro · 25/01/2020 17:00

Aerosmiths dude looks like a lady, hate it so much.

rockingthelook · 25/01/2020 17:07

Simply The Best- Tina Turner, sung by every pissed up person at wedding discos, loathe it
Waterloo Sunset- The Kinks, gives me the rage
Bohemian Rhapsody, except for when it featured in Waynes World

Whisky in the Jar, love it !, great guitar riffs and the uncomparable Phil Lynott

HearMeSnore · 25/01/2020 18:05

Mr Blue Sky - ELO. It's not so much music as a series of noises and it gets on my nerves.

Hotel California - Gloomy and depressing

American Pie - It seemed to get played everywhere during my school/college era. It never did much for me but hearing it on a near-constant loop in my formative years has put me off for life.

Wincarnis · 25/01/2020 18:20

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
School’s Out -Alice Cooper
in the Summertime - Mungo Jerry
All done to death and annoying!

TopEndChops · 25/01/2020 18:43

We Built this City -Starship, utter crud, anything by UB40 makes me want to kill things.
