vaccinations-not having booster doses and need advice

Just to clarify this isn’t a post about pro/anti vax. I’m pro vax and have fully vaccinated plus paid for extras (c pox and acwy and men b for dc who didn’t qualify on nhs).

My problem is my toddler he was fully vaccinated plus c pox as above. We had planned to get him the acwy this year as well then the usual pre school ones etc.
BUT he has developed some severe issues and has been referred for asd assessment.
We can’t even get him in the gps last time he had to go he had such a bad reaction we were blue lighted to a and e and that was just for an examination
He will not tolerate anyone he doesn’t know.

I’m starting to think that our next big problem is going to be his boosters. I’m already worried I couldn’t book his men acwy privately but his reactionWill make him ill and I can’t reason with him at all as he doesn’t understand.

If they were left till maybe he’s a bit older will the immunity from the first ones he’s had (mmr and c pox need 2) carry him through til then ? I dont mean a prolonged time I’d do them as soon as possible but at the moment we can’t even walk past the gp.

I just am not sure how much protection only 1 half offers and the thought of him Ill from something then needing medical help will make him upset too. It’s not a case of taking him and holding him down to just get it done as what happened last tome he had to go was terrifying

He will have some immunity but it’s hard to say how much (how long it will last). It’s quite normal for immunity to wear off even with all doses. I had to have the MMR again as adult (because of work) as I was no longer immune to measles.

But in the short term, it sounds like you have a lot going on though and you need to pick your battles. This is probably one you could leave for awhile.

I’m just so glad he’s been able to have the ones he’s had so far. It’s worrying me though but he’s not at nursery or anything so I’m hoping he has immunity for now and is unlikely to catch anything then as soon as we can sort these issues out we will be getting it done
