Ds is a month old and not really a burper. But Christ can that boy fart! And sometimes they are really stinky!

Just a second ago he did such a loud one he woke himself up 😂

God yes! DS has grown out of it a bit now (5 months) but the noise and smell and frequency from something so small was so impressive in those first few weeks. He also used to wake himself (and us!) up with the sound sometimes. Babies are delightful aren't they?!

Dennisreynoldsduster · 25/01/2020 06:07

I couldn’t believe it, he’s in his basket trumping away
He often looks quite shocked himself when he’s awake and there’s a bit of straining that proceeds the big ones followed by a all wide eyed look of innocence haha

My 8 month old always has been and last week hit a huge milestone. She farted and then laughed. So proud.Grin

Haha my LO is 3 months now but he trumped for Britain in the first couple of weeks! Every time he woke up he farted for a good 5 minutes! Came as a shock as my first was more burpy/ sicky

Dennisreynoldsduster · 25/01/2020 07:54

I didn’t realise it would smell while he’s still small 😱 takes after his father it seems Grin

My eldest was a trumper.
A friend came to visit when he was a few weeks old, gave him a cuddle and said "Is he supposed to fart all the time?"
I used to imagine him propelling himself out of his cot with a stream of powerful farts.

mynameiscalypso · 25/01/2020 09:41

Is it weird that I miss those wake up farts @bumpysleighridejack? 😂

mogloveseggs · 25/01/2020 09:54

Ds was a morning farter. Still is at 8 years old.

SquigglePigs · 25/01/2020 10:13

DD is 13 months and has been like that since day one. Rarely burped but stunningly noisy and stinky bum!!

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 25/01/2020 10:18

DGS started on day 3 and hasn't looked back. DD likes garlic, so they were eyewatering. "A pack of curry eating wolves" was her description.

Wilmalovescake · 25/01/2020 10:23

Better out than in!

JoJothesquirrel · 25/01/2020 10:26

My godson trumped at the font and the minister clearly looked at the grown ups not believing for a second it could be the angel in the big dress. I had to fit the urge to find him after and tell him it wasn’t me it was the baby.

WhenTwoBecomeThree · 25/01/2020 10:30

DD is 7 weeks and she farts non-stop! Thankfully they don't smell!

amusedbush · 25/01/2020 11:02

I don’t have kids and using MN has taught me so much. I had no idea that babies could be born hairy like little monkeys, and now I’m learning that they can fart a symphony Grin

I’m not sure if I’m less put off having one, or more!

NannyPear · 25/01/2020 11:06

DS2 is the same. DS1 hardly ever did! DS2 is 8 months now and it's not quite as prolific but in the younger months I would massage his tummy and do bicycle legs etc and it was just constant!! Thankfully he never seemed fussed about it. Used to wake me up with a fright it was so loud sometimes 🙈
