Dry. Thin. Brittle.

Likely due to a health condition but otherwise unsure.

He's three. It does need a cut but cutting it doesnt ever improve the condition of it.

What would you do?

I can also vouch for the satin pillowcase - DS's hair was similar and it worked wonders. It doesn't have to be silk - cheap satin works fine, anything that's soft and shiny. DS had a bald patch on the back of his head as a baby because he rubs his head from side to side in his sleep, and the satin pillowcase helped immediately. If you can sew you can pick up satin fabric for less than £1 per metre.

I'd second using gentle shampoo and conditioner too. You only need a little. Noughty is a nice brand and they do a lovely leave-in conditioner which will help. Childs Farm is also good. I'd also say don't wash it too often - a couple of times a week is fine. You can dampen it and reapply a tiny bit of leave-in conditioner to tidy it up between washes.

Comb a bit of almond oil through his hair. Then wash it using a gentle shampoo.
