The Book People - anyone purchases from in January

I can’t seem to find any further updates since they went into Administration in December, and while they said they will continue trading I wondered if anyone has ordered from them in January and has any issues getting their order?

Their website is still full of the usual sale lines and I’d love to order some books for party bags but DH reckons to steer clear of them.

I placed an order in early January and it was delivered within a few days.
I had concerns because of the administration but the set of books I wanted were very cheap compared to Amazon so I decided to take the risk as I could afford to lose the tenner. For me the risk certainly paid off and I was a very happy customer.

Oh balls, I didn't know about this and I've just made a large order for party bags!! I'll keep you updated!

Oh I got a great bargain on books for my DD for Christmas from them. I didn't know they'd gone into administration

Use PayPal? Then you’d be covered anyway.

has anyone ordered from them since lockdown & actually got their books? now been waiting 6 weeks......

I ordered in early March, it took slightly longer than usual but arrived with no problems.
