I'm on mat leave at the moment and being stuck at home most days, I seem to want to snack in between lunch and dinner, and then around 9pm. I am drinking a shit load of water but that is not really helping!

I'm fairly active, a healthy weight and tend to avoid too many complex carbs, but have a sweet tooth

So at breakfast at 10am I had porridge (made with water) with blueberries, some banana and a spoon of whole peanut butter mixed in. And a cup of tea.

Lunch, I usually have a random picky plate of things, so today I had green veg with some feta and avocado.

It's 2.45pm and I've just had a cup of decaf coffee with almond milk, a few tbsp of Greek yoghurt with about 8 blueberries mixed in and a teaspoon of muesli. Didn't really hit the spot so I've had a shortbread biscuit as well.

Dinner will some chicken curry with spinach and kale.

And then at 9pm, I have a fave very low-carb chocolate microwave mug brownie recipe, which is divine, and I look forward to it every day.

Does my snacking relative to my meals sound excessive?

What do others snack on in a typical day?

It reads like an advert for a healthy eating blog! Apart from 1 shortbread biscuit it all has nutritional value (assuming the brownie has egg in it).

You're clearly ticking boxes of lean protein, green leafy vegetables, whole grains etc. which is the most important thing.

If you're BF then you probably need those snacks to support your calorie intake as your meals aren't that high in calories by the sounds of it and we need a bit more when BF.
