Do you ever get that thing, when you're starting to go to sleep and suddenly go itchy all over?

.... there you are, finally feeling sleep starting to take you, perhaps after hours of trying - and suddenly about five different places at once are unbearably itchy ... and of course, it wakes you up sharpish and stops you sleeping?

No one? (Maybe everyone's asleep ... )

Yes, I do. I'd love to know why. I get it more in the winter than summer.

Time40 · 22/01/2020 01:36

Ah, I'm sorry for you, twointhemorning, but I'm glad it's not just me.

YES I've had that, it's really annoying. Hope the itching stops soon, don't know what causes it. It's like when one place starts loads of others do.

Rosehip345 · 22/01/2020 01:40

Yes now 😭

VioletVoice · 22/01/2020 01:44

I hope you all have sharp fingernails! I don't have it at the moment but remember what it's like.

QueenOfIce · 22/01/2020 02:02

Yes, I moisturise my body before bed and take an antihistamine when it starts, seems to work.

Sonichu · 22/01/2020 02:10

Usually my legs and feet. Drives me up the wall!

Time40 · 22/01/2020 02:32

I wish we could find out what causes it.

I get it between my shoulder blades. I have short arms and bite my nails. I've been reduced to using a fork for relief!

Yes I do too and most nights I’m awake all night itching. It’s awful I’ve tried peretineze(sp) anti allergy tablets but it feels like I’m covered in tiny spiders/bugs and I scratch myself until I bleed. I’m usually fine during the day, have had the odd bad day too. It doesn’t sound like much but it’s pretty miserable eh.

Snowflake9 · 22/01/2020 03:35

Had this terrible when k was pregnant. It drove me to tears!! I also had it in the day time. Apparently it was my hormones, I took an antigen daily and moisturised with a prescribed cream. Seemed to work but oh my god , the though if it now is making me twitch.

Snowflake9 · 22/01/2020 03:36

**antihistamine

Yamaya · 22/01/2020 03:53

I had this just now. I've said about it to my boyfriend before and he had no idea what I was going on about so glad it's not just me!

tenredthings · 22/01/2020 03:56

Scabies makes you itch a night

ioioitsoff · 22/01/2020 04:12

Yes, especially in one ear and the top of one foot Confused

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 22/01/2020 08:22

Yep. Multiple causes, including not showering before bed, facial malasszia, and on one dreadful occasion, demodex infestation.

The malasszia has been fixed, so it no longer triggers itching at other sites. The demodex needed hosing with Debac, not fun.
