left eye is swollen and has a little bit of yellowish stuff coming out of it, this started since last night, it’s not red but her eye looks very small. Any ideas as to what it could be. I have a picture if any has any ideas.

For a two week old baby I'd say ring your midwife/go.
It's probably not serious but you don't mess about when they're that little.

Conjunctivitis by the sounds of it. You need to keep cleaning the eye with cotton wool and warm water, just wipe it once and throw it away then repeat with a new piece.

Try wiping with cooled boiled water on cotton pad, as above, or breast milk. If no improvement in a day gp.

Mine all had eye infections that needed eye ointment to fix. I tried cooled boiled water, breastmilk, etc but they didn't get better.

Chloramphenical ointment, your GP can prescribe it. It's a pharmacy OTC drug, but there may be a different sort for very small babies. It cleaned DD up a treat when she was a week old.

You can always ring 111 for advice in these circumstances and you will be given priority at the GP with a newborn baby.

Has she got the sniffles at all, my DD always got blocked tear ducts as an infant when she had a cold. Stopped happening when she was about 1.

Cooled boiled water, you can keep it in the fridge for 12 hours then refresh, and wipe from top of nose, across eyelid to get the gunk away.
