Would you go to a walk in with this?

My dd is 10 and has had a cold the last few days, yesterday she was complaining of earache and had a slight temp. Gave calpol and she went to bed fine.

She woke up this morning with blood in her ear and pus - but the pain and temp have gone.

We literally moved house last week and have not even registered in the new area at a Gp yet. I have the forms all filled in but not actually handed in yet! So I’m guessing I would need to go to a walk in and wait.

Would you see how she is since the pain and temp have gone or does she need to be seen today?

I am TERRIBLE at these kinds of choices - I always seem to make the wrong one!

She needs to be seen today. It seems she has had an ear infection with a risk of a perforated ear drum.

I would take her
It probably needs cleaning and possibly antibiotics if there is infection

If the pain and temperature have gone, I'd wait and see.

Yes, definitely.

I'd go to the practice you intend joining. They'll see her as an immediate necessary I would think, just take the filled in forms with you.

Yes I would, and I never go. The ear needs checked though.
