I currently work part time 16 hours a week
Dh and i are separating
Looking at what benefits i would get
Seemed to think would have to work 30 hours a week min to receive universal credits and child benefits

How old are your children?
Child benefit is a completely separate department to universal credit and isn’t effected at all by working hours etc you will receive this aslong as you have a child under 18 and in education

There is no minimum hours for universal credit but over time they will expect you to increase those hours

All cases are treated on an individual basis. You will still be able to claim UC, but with secondary age children they will likely expect you to look for work with more hours.
