Dobble is fun as a family game. It's like snap but there's a bit more to it with more symbols and they change colour and shape etc.
For a grown up one we just got scrawl and it's so fun but you need 4 players. It's a cross between pictionary and Chinese whispers

King of Tokyo
Carcassonne
Settlers of Catan
3 Dragon Ante
Chrononauts
Fluxx

Something collaborative like Pandemic works for us as a family game. I'm sure there must be loads more like that.

Not really, but I can suggest not playing with my DD... 😄

My kids love Beat the Parents.

Just you and DP? You mean?

Itsmybirthday19 · 19/01/2020 00:42

Mastermind is my all time favourite but it's not really a board game per se.

My husband and I like the Monopoly deal card game. Sooo much quicker than the real version.

what are you rowing about?

collaborative games are good - either everybody wins as a team or everybody loses. Pandemic, Forbidden Island/Forbidden Desert, The Captain Is Dead.

Non collaborative games which are interesting to play even if you are losing (so that it isn't so upsetting if someone else is doing better than you) - Imhotep, Splendor, Carcassonne

Mansions of Madness is a great collaborative game. You work together as a team to solve mysteries, fight monsters and escape haunted islands.

Although in the last game, I cast too many spells which meant I went insane and threw a stick of dynamite at ds. That went badly. Blush

Just you and DP - cribbage, backgammon, carcassonne

With DC - Pandemic

InDubiousBattle · 19/01/2020 08:28

Google Concept games op, we got one designed for dc (concept animals)and ours love it.
Trophy Buck Dice game - really easy and weirdly addictive
Love Letter- better with 3 or 4 of you but a good game.

Opt for Jigsaws instead?
