Please help me find this song for my wedding

I'm trying to put together a playlist for our wedding, and I have a song in my head that I've heard on the car radio so have never been able to make a note of who it's by or what it's called. It's been around at least a couple of years, I think, and I'm fairly sure it's sung by a woman.

The only lyric I remember is about how hard it is/was for someone to say the word 'love'.

I've tried googling but with so little to go on nothing is coming up, so I'm relying on the magic of Mumsnet. Please can anyone help?

Sorry no help but I think you might get more traffic on the Chat page OP.

If you want MN to move this, report your own post to them and ask them to move it. 🙂

Horsemad · 19/01/2020 21:23

I think there are apps you can sing/hum into if you know the tune! 🙂

I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song - Jim Croce?

Is it pop(ish), rock, country, slow dance/smoochy, upbeat etc?

LouMumsnet · 25/01/2020 17:32

Hi there, whereiwanttobe, just to say that we've moved your thread over to Chat and we hope you get some useful replies here and find out the name of that song.

And have a wonderful wedding day! Smile

Thank you @Horsemad for the suggestion, and @LouMumsnet.

It’s a slow song, definitely a woman, not Jim Croce, and it has a nice feel - how it was so hard to say ‘love’ (or possibly “I love you”) - but they do and it’s all good.

So little to go on, I know. Sorry but here’s hoping....

HeyChief · 25/01/2020 20:34

Which radio station have you heard it on?

whereiwanttobe · 25/01/2020 21:23

No, slower than that one, and I mostly listen to Heart, or occasionally Magic.

Say you love me - Jessie Ware

whereiwanttobe · 25/01/2020 21:35

No, not that one either. But thank you.

Selena Gomez lose you to love me?

It's a slow song and has a similar message to that I think but fairly new

Knittedfairies · 25/01/2020 21:41

Or this?

Possibly this? m.youtube.com/watch?v=PxNYvk_0Onw

whereiwanttobe · 25/01/2020 21:58

No, I think slower than those. It's so frustrating, I keep getting little bits of the tune but floating just out of reach ...

This one was on a list of top 50 wedding songs and is the only slow female one with a slight nod to not wanting to sing about love:

Geneshish · 25/01/2020 22:07

Please dont say you love me?

Ellmau · 25/01/2020 23:29

Could it be the Alison Krauss version of When You Say Nothing At All?

SunshineDays2019 · 25/01/2020 23:38

Remember you can Google playlists for radio stations. Obviously no help if you haven't head the song for ages though. Have a lovely wedding!

Could it be the Alison Krauss version of When You Say Nothing At All? Op should consider this even if it's not what she has in mind! Wink

It's such a lovely song.
