Wrist cast can I ask for it to be removed early

I broke my wrist 6th December and had an operation for plates and screws two weeks ago. The cast is now really loose. I have no pain can I ring the hospital and ask them to remove the cast? It’s more a hindrance than anything now

I’ve an appointment to remove 6th February that’s ages away

I would call them as it might need replacing with a tighter one

yes call the fracture clinic.
they told me to come back for a new cast when mine got too loose.
