What would you do?

I am having some health problems that are likely to be long term and am really struggling with my current full time job which involves some commuting (walking and train) and working in an office.

I am trying to think of ways I can generate an income if I quit but struggling - current job is not really compatible with flexible working as have to attend lots of meetings/visit other offices and generally be present to know what's going on.

No idea what to do, am not a great writer, have more of a numbers/science head but no specific qualifications or IT skills.

Ideally i'd have something that I could do mainly from home and which I could pick up and put down as and when I feel able.

I'd set up as a self employed HR consultant but I have experience and quals in this field so not sure this will be much use to you as a suggestion.

Avoid franchises, its usually only the franchise owner who makes any money.
