I love these threads and haven't seen one in a while.
We've had a lovely morning - got up lateish and wandered into town through the park with dh and ds2, had a coffee, did a bit of shopping, bought dim sum for lunch. Ds spotted a friend in the park and stopped for a play.
I'm drinking tea on the sofa now, ds2 on PS4, dh snoozing watching a documentary about Vietnam. I should probably motivate myself to do something constructive but can't really be bothered.

That sounds nice and chilled OP. Wish I could say the same about my morning but instead me and DP had an argument and have now resigned ourselves to different rooms. Ahh well I am relishing the peace and quiet Smile

DS2 9 year old went to swim training at 5am! Luckily DH took him then did hockey training and since then has been eating me out of house and home and playing on the PC. DH was swim and hockey taxi and has cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen he is now watching the rugby with his eyes closed Grin DS1 12 year old has been out with friends since 10am he called and asked if he could go and get his hair cut so I'm hoping he hasn't done something daft with it when he gets home. I have done multiple wash loads, changed beds, done the supermarket shop and I'm now watching the rugby (with my eyes open).

FauxFox · 18/01/2020 15:49

I’m at work - nearly home time though Grin I will then go for a run, make and eat katsu curry with DH and the kids and hopefully watch The Irishman on Netflix later.
DH and DS are meant to have been clearing the gutters and reselling the shower today and I have fingers crossed DD has done all her homework so we can go out for the day tomorrow Smile

FauxFox · 18/01/2020 15:50

Resealing not reselling - if they have sold the shower tray I will not be pleased!

sockittome123 · 18/01/2020 15:52

Went to work first thing, came home at 1:30 and had some lunch while trying to calm someone down over text. Went out about 2:40 to pick up a pair of trousers I've had altered, now sitting and freezing chilling trying to muster up the energy to go and sit in bed with a chocolate muffin. God knows what I'll get up to tonight!

Pinkarsedfly · 18/01/2020 15:52

I had the world’s longest lie-in - eventually emerged from my pit at 1:30 Blush

Went to Sainsbury’s for a big shop and am now having a cup of tea while DH and DS put it all away.

Going to take the dogs for a walk in a minute.

I have a stressful job and the last few months have been a bit difficult with bereavement etc so I like to recharge a bit on Saturdays.

OhWellThatsJustGreat · 18/01/2020 15:54

We got up lateish, I've coloured my hair, dh has done the food shop online and ds has made a mess (6 months, weaning)

DH is now editing some photos on the pc, ds is napping and I'm painting my toenails as I'm going out tonight and wearing open toed shoes 😂 dog is making trips from the kitchen to the lounge with mouthfuls of biscuits...

lilgreen · 18/01/2020 15:55

Bit of lie-in. DH brought me a cup of tea in bed and we watched BBC Breakfast News. Took DD2 to maths tutor at 10, I did a quick shop in Aldi. Home to clean hoover and washing. Took dog to the groomers for 3.Just finished some work stuff for next week. Having a coffee and mumsnet surf before I have to pick the dog up. DH painting the bathroom and DD2 revising for GCSEs, DD1 at uni.

MsMellivora · 18/01/2020 16:06

DH went off to park run, DS went off at 6am for a cross country race. I stayed in bed drinking tea and reading. DH and I then walked in to town which is a 2.5 mile round trip for lunch and a little shopping. Just got back, DS has returned having improved his time. We are watching tv in an hour and then DS is off out to the pub this evening, he is 18. DH needs to write up a report this evening so will be working so I will go on my games console.

massistar · 18/01/2020 16:10

Went for a gorgeous early morning run over the cliffs with a friend while DH took DD to netball training. Picked up DS from a sleepover and we all had lunch before DH and DS went to swim training. Just been for a walk with DD and bought ice creams on the way home.

Will have a takeaway and watch a movie altogether later. Been a great day!

Made some soup for lunch, took dd2 to riding lesson, cleaned all the bathrooms. Now sitting down on mn when I should be checking on dd1 and her gcse revision...oh well.

Going out for dinner later. Contemplating a G&T (first drink all week) while admiring the lovely early evening, still light, sky.

olivertwistwantsmore · 18/01/2020 16:23

Ds is revising for mocks. I was at a spa last night. DH and dd picked me up there this morning and we went for a lovely river walk and lunch out. Now thinking about a nap... pizza for tea and a film this eve. Lovely.

Witchend · 18/01/2020 16:23

Dh has taken ds to his drama group.
Dd is pretending to revise and actually playing roblox
I am lying in bed with a painful back (think it's trapped nerve) and feeling sorry for myself.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/01/2020 16:24

We all got up late, then had croissants and coffee. DH made pizza for the DC's lunch while I was doing some long-overdue sewing in the garden room. We're, in theory at least, going to go through some of the DC's old ancient toys later with an eye to clearing some space. I suspect that it'll just end up a nostalgia fest...

TowerRingInferno · 18/01/2020 16:26

Dh working away
Ds1 played hockey this morning and is now doing homework
Ds2 played hockey and badminton and is now playing Minecraft (and moaning that his legs ache)
I watched them play hockey, walked the dogs, did ironing, and am about to mop floors.
Takeaway and film this evening.

BentNeckLady · 18/01/2020 16:32

I got up, had a bacon sandwich, made a cake and did a few loads of washing. Then I went to the garden centre and bought two £2.99 roses from the reduced section and cake back and did some tidying in the garden and now I’m watching Vikings with a pack of flipz and a cup of tea.

DH has been for a run and played FIFA. Ds has taken all day tidying his room and I haven’t seen dd at all apart from when she came down for the cake Smile

mamaduckbone · 18/01/2020 17:16

Well, I've been vaguely constructive for an hour or so - carried on the ongoing new year drawer sort out and relegated some bits to the charity shop bag, so feeling fully justified in resuming residence on the sofa with my book/mumsnet. Might pour a glass of wine in a minute...
Ds1 14 will be back soon for dinner so we might watch a film together. Ds2 is now dismantling a skateboard ready to spray paint it.
Respect to those of you doing exercise or DIY today - I haven't the motivation for either. Tomorrow will be rugby with the dcs and planning/prep for work next week though so I'm enjoying the idleness.

The prospective buyers have been - and diffrent from what our LL told us - they are not an investor company but a private young couple looking to park a windfall. We hope they buy.
Now I have a clean flat, two teens with severe colds, and a DH exhausted from 3 month of remobilising his DM., so nothing much will happen this weekend.
